At the outdoor seating in Øvre Slottsgate, under green trees, parasols, and string lights, you can eat and drink what you have purchased from Sentralen Kafe or at Hitchhiker. You must order inside and bring your food out yourself. Bringing your own food is not allowed.
Bar The Winter Garden is located just inside the front door on the ground floor. The bar is closed seasonally when the roof terrace Mynt is open. During the winter season, Bar Vinterhagen is open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and is filled with good atmosphere throughout the evening. The conservatory is the heart of Sentralen - an open space that connects the whole house. During the day, the Winter Garden serves as an extension of the café.
Bar Vinterhagen is located right inside the main entrance on the first floor. The bar is seasonally closed when the rooftop bar Coins is open. During the winter season Bar Vinterhagen is open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Vinterhagen is the heart of Sentralen - an open venue that gives visitors access to the rest of the building. During the day time Vinterhagen acts as an extension of the cafe.
In the spring, summer, and late summer seasons, the outdoor seating on the Mynt rooftop terrace is open. The rooftop terrace spans two levels and is connected by an amphitheater. On the upper level, food, drinks, and snacks are served from the bar during opening hours. On the Mynt rooftop terrace, you can enjoy a view over the rooftops of Kvadraturen, with a truly urban and cozy atmosphere.

Sentralen rents out halls and stages, rehearsal rooms, production rooms, meeting rooms, studios, and the rooftop terrace for concerts, performances, festivals, conferences, and all other types of events. Through the UNG initiative, Sentralen offers favorable rental conditions for organizers providing services for children and young people between the ages of 0 and 19. Over a third of the events at Sentralen are affordable or free events for children and young people. Through the MINT initiative, Sentralen offers favorable rental conditions for organizers of diverse, inclusive, and accessible events. All public events become part of Sentralen's varied program. Additionally, there are four floors of co-working spaces for cultural production and social innovation in the building, along with several bars, a café, a restaurant, and outdoor seating.
The reception at Sentralen is staffed by the administration working at Sentralen. You will meet staff working with sales & booking, marketing & communication and the producers of events, as well as event hosts. Hitchhiker was once the country's first restaurant to serve authentic street food, with a particular focus on all kinds of snacks from East Asia.
For 10 years, they were located on the second floor of Mathallen. Now, Hitchhiker has reopened with a twist in the premises of Sentralen Restaurant in Øvre Slottsgate.
The restaurant offers a diverse menu infused with all the love we have for quality ingredients, truly delicious food, and Asian culinary culture. A culinary journey filled with fragrant spices, colorful dishes, and flavors that transport you directly to Asian street markets awaits.
Sentralen Kafe offer breakfast, lunch, coffee and tea, pastries, snacks, cakes, sandwiches, salads and soup of the day. There are always good vegetarian, vegan and gluten free alternatives. At lunch the pizza oven is fired up, and the cafe serve the famous sour dough pizza until an hour before closing.
The food from the cafe can be brought to the other venues at Sentralen, or as take away.
At night the cafe also serves wine and beer.
