Hvelvet is Sentralen's most unique venue. This is an intimate black box in what used to be Christiania Sparebank's bank vault.

Hvelvet
Hvelvet is Sentralen's most unique venue. This is an intimate black box in Christiania Sparebank's old bank vault. During the refurbishment of the building, it was chosen to retain the old, thick vault doors in to the venue, the original staircase and the messanine in the room. Hvelvet is located on the top floor of the bank's old vault. Once upon a time, there were safe deposit boxes!
This room has no natural light, and the walls are adorned with dark balusters. The stairs leading up to the mezzanine and the walls create an atmospheric ambiance. Alongside the mezzanine, there are seating benches offering ample space for a large audience.
There is certainly no such place in Oslo!
There is a separate backstage attached to Hvelvet, with its own stage entrance at the back of the venue.
Hvelvet
is suitable for
Concert, breakfast meeting, theatre, mingling, streaming, party, launch, dance, film screening, lecture and presentation, kick-off, club, Christmas party, dinner and banquet, rehearsals, video recording, webinar and conference.

It is possible to perform streaming/recording in the hall. Sentralen has its own streaming technician and its own equipment with four cameras.

Audience entrance or Festinngangen in Øvre Slottsgate 3, via Marmortrappen to the second floor. Wheelchair access via meeting room Biblioteket on the second floor.

The streaming package includes everything you need to stream or record an event, such as panel talks, simple conferences or small performances.
The streaming technician sets up two Panasonic AQ-CX10 4k cameras cameras that will stand in fixed positions.
The audio engineer ensures that there is a high quality of the audio of the streaming.
Lighting technician ensures proper lighting.
The package includes

Sentralen is Oslo's most versatile event house
Sentralen provides space for ideas, interaction and good experiences.
Sentralen is a versatile event house in Kvadraturen in central Oslo. The house consists of two buildings that were originally the head office of Christiania Sparebank. On six floors of historic premises, we rent out event rooms, production rooms and meeting rooms for all purposes.
Sentralen is owned by Sparebankstiftelsen DNB. Sentralen will contribute to supporting the Sparebank Foundation's vision to trigger good forces, through events and favourable rental prices for tenants that fit under the purposes of cultural production and social innovation.
