About

Marmorsalen

Marmorsalen is the former bank's transaction hall on the ground floor. Here, we have preserved the original stone floor and the impressive marble interior, featuring authentic marble from Fauske.

Above the freestanding bar at the back of the room, the coffered ceiling holds the artwork Oscillations by Camilla Løw – a light installation made of neon tubes.

Large, old windows facing Øvre Slottsgate, along with the glass pyramid in the ceiling, allow plenty of natural light. At its highest point, the ceiling in this room reaches 9 meters! The space can also be divided using advanced curtain systems on the walls and ceiling.

Marmorsalen can accommodate all technical needs, offering top-tier sound, lighting, and streaming technology. It is one of Oslo's most beautiful venues.

The room has vibrant acoustics, ideal for amplified or lightly amplified music, with strong reverberation. This can be significantly reduced using acoustic curtains.

The capacity for different setups is indicative and can be adjusted based on additional requirements.

Sentralen is Oslo's most versatile event house

Fasaden til Sentralen i Øvre Slottsgate

Sentralen provides space for ideas, interaction and good experiences.

Sentralen is a versatile event house in Kvadraturen in central Oslo. The house consists of two buildings that were originally the head office of Christiania Sparebank. On six floors of historic premises, we rent out event rooms, production rooms and meeting rooms for all purposes.

Sentralen is owned by Sparebankstiftelsen DNB. Sentralen will contribute to supporting the Sparebank Foundation's vision to trigger good forces, through events and favourable rental prices for tenants that fit under the purposes of cultural production and social innovation.
