About
Rooftop terrace Kron & Mynt
The urban view over the rooftops in Kvadraturen, well-preserved historical building details, and the cozy atmosphere between the cornices make the Kron & Mynt rooftop terrace truly unique in Oslo.
The unpretentious vibe, with plants, trees (!), terracotta-colored concrete, and plastered walls, gives visitors the feeling of having taken a trip to New York. A glass wall allows a view all the way down through six floors of the building, reaching all the way to Vinterhagen. The rooftop terrace is comfortably furnished with outdoor furniture and string lights. Heaters are installed for cool evenings, and umbrellas are provided for warm summer nights.
The name of the rooftop terrace comes from flipping a coin, referring to the two levels the terrace consists of, connected by an amphitheater. The amphitheater is cast in terracotta-colored concrete and can be used for standing or seated arrangements.
The lower level of the terrace is called Kron, and the upper level is called Mynt. It is possible to rent the entire rooftop terrace or just Kron.
Kron
The level Kron is located outside Kronesalen, and can be rented together with this hall. This solution is perfect if you want to give guests or participants the opportunity to stay both indoors and outdoors.
There is an exit directly from the hallway outside Kronesalen to Kron.
Kron is 66 m2.
Mynt
From Mynt there is a view over the rooftops of Kvadraturen.
From April to September, the outside serving at Mynt is open to everyone who wants to enjoy Oslo's spring and summer evenings outside! See opening hours for dining at Mynt here.
The mural at Mynt is painted directly on the wall by artist Anette Moi.
Mynt is 80 m2.
