Since the start of the pandemic, we have produced several small and large streams with physical and digital audiences.
From safe deposit box vaults to two new studios
What is now Sentralen was originally the head office of Christiania Sparebank. The bank had four floors of safe deposit box vaults with one-metre thick, reinforced concrete walls located in the middle of the core of the building. The safe deposit boxes have been removed, and the old vault has today become a black box stage, a meeting room, and two state-of-the-art studios.
Studios A and B were completed in 2022, with bespoke streaming and recording solutions. Both studios are located on the lower floor of Sentralen, at the bottom of the old safe-deposit vault, and are attached to a first-class, professional control room.
Studio A is our largest studio at 66 m2 — and has a ceiling height of close to 7.5 meters in large parts of the room. Studio B is at 16 m2 with a regular ceiling height.
The public and participants can use the main entrance in Øvre Slottsgate 3, via elevator to the lower floor, or stairs from the Winter Garden.
Custom built for streaming and recording
During the pandemic, we produced several small and large live streams in the other halls at Sentralen. It was clear that our tenants needed to be able to stream or record their events when the physical audience was not able to attend due to restrictions. Concerts, conferences, awards, seminars, webinars, breakfast meetings, book launches, debates and lectures were streamed and recorded.
Later, when the restrictions on physical audience were removed, we conducted many streams with both physical audience in the hall, and digital audience on various platforms.
We then decided to custom-build two studios for streaming and recording. Since those studios, and the control room, were completed in 2022, we've hired a dedicated streaming technician and put together package pricing that makes it easy for renters.
Dedicated control room and streaming technician
Our streaming technician, sound engineer and optionally a lighting technician sits in our own purpose-built control room. They remotely control the image, sound and light during the streaming or recording.
Our streaming engineer is responsible for everything technical, controlling the entire streaming or recording from the control room. He also broadcasts the streaming on whatever platform you want. The streaming engineer helps you with planning and production, ensuring that the technical is carried out correctly, while the sound is controlled by the sound engineer.
The light rigs in the studios are professional lighting rigs that cover all needs. Standard lighting is always included, and can be rigged by our streaming technician. If you want additional lighting or an extensive lighting rig, we can hire a lighting technician at an additional cost.
Technical possibilities
With the help of our four available cameras, your streaming or recording can become a multi-camera production. Two of the cameras are remotely controlled and can move so that the images are given different angles or views. The streaming technician sits in the control room and controls the cameras, so that the participants in front of the camera and the audience are alone in the studio.
You can have several different backgrounds on your streaming or recording. We have green screen available where we can display what you want of images, graphic elements, videos or presentations as part of the background. There are also black and gray backgrounds available. Of course, it is also quite possible to use the game walls in Studio A as they are. It is also possible to display a PowerPoint or other type of presentation, as an image in the image., or have a text that shows, for example, the name and title of the image (called supring).
Furnishing
We have various chairs, tables and standing tables available, and you can rig it up to your desired setup. We can also rig this for you at an additional cost.
It is possible to bring your own furniture, decorations etc. if you want to make your own mark on the streaming or recording.

Streaming
Streaming is video broadcasts that are broadcast directly to an audience on the internet. This can be on social media such as Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn, on YouTube or on your own website. We can conduct streams both with and without a physical audience in the studio.
A streaming with physical audience in the studio, and audience watching digitally, is also called a hybrid production. This physical and of your audience allows you to reach out to even more people with your message.
Recordings
Recordings are video that can be published and broadcast whenever you wish. If you want to make a recording, you can cut, edit, or add more graphics before the recording is published. You can also make several tackles.
